Like all food establishments, we feel confident that we are able to prepare food that is safe or to make reasonable accommodations to address the diets and allegies of our diverse guests.  Let us know how we can accommodate your visit by contacting us prior to your reservation(support@nashobawinery.com) or by adding comments to your reservation or orders.  We always have items like gluten free wraps or crackers that can easily be substituted for non-gluten free breads.  When looking at a menu, items that are made to order are easily modified whereas items that are prepared in bulk, such as soup, stews and items like chili cannot be modified.   Remember, we are hear to accomodate you so please understand the importance of the information provided.

We appreciate that very allergic individuals must strictly monitor every bite they eat because accidental ingestion of even a tiny amount of an allergen can trigger a severe, life-threatening reaction.  If your allergies rise to this level, please reach out to us regarding additional accomodations.  

We always suggest that you develop a Chef’s Card. We are all very concerned about alleges and deal with them every day but getting it right takes great communication. I cannot tell you how easy it is when someone present us with full details of what they can eat and what they cannot eat. We once had a customer tell us that they had a dairy allergy and then was upset when we informed her that a soup contained coconut milk which is not dairy.  

 A chef’s card makes everyone’s job easier! It reduces the stress of making sure the server or manager has written everything down and understands the severity. With a chef card everything is already there in writing. Restaurants love them! I have never had any server, manager, or chef get annoyed by a chef card. Usually they are thankful for it.

The best thing about a chef card is that you can perfect it and keep it handy knowing that you have presented all of the information. We would love to serve you the safest meal possible but it requires your help. Give us the details and we can make it happen.
